Acupuncture has been practiced since long before modern times

Acupuncture

Acupuncture, or simply sticking needles and pins into areas of the body has been practiced since long before modern times. In China, this form of healing referred to as “Qi Sharing Tea” was developed. Needles and pins were used to induce points in patients, but many today do not have the use of needles or pins due to the advances in technology.

The most common form of acupuncture is reflexology. This is the stimulation of specific points within the body using a variety of instruments.

A reflexologist uses his hands to direct the precise points to target areas. A good practitioner does not use any other instrumental placebo. In true acupuncture clinics, you will see instruments and patches placed on strategic points throughout the body.

Reflexology is used to stimulate the body’s own natural healing functions. In other words, you are stimulating the body’s own capacity to heal itself.

Acupuncture stimulates the body

Doctors of reflexology treat many different ailments and have a good premise for their practice.

Many times, reflexology’s effectiveness is dependent on how big of a patient or patient group you want to treat. For a small group, the use of mirrors may be helpful as you work to concentrate on their particular problem or issue. However, for a huge group of patients, the use of mirrors may be overkill.

For small groups, reflexologists may use “numb points.” The treatment area is placed on the forehead between the eyebrows. The patient rests face-down for a short period of time. From time to time, reflexologists manipulate the Head, Foot, or Ankle before moving them up to the scalp.

It’s important to notice when the reflexologist is applying pressure. It is done with the fingertips, or sometimes the fingertips and knuckles, but never with the heels. The knuckles and fingertips apply enough pressure to move the crystals in the little finger, but not enough to cause crystal loss. The heels, however, will damage the crystals in the toe. Patients with big groups often get a lot of benefit from the pressure at the scalp.

Benefit from reflexology

Many people may remember years ago when commercials showed professional athletes using the technique for major fluid loss. Professional athletes “accidentally,” lose a great deal of fluid through accidents like bad sports. However, there is no evidence that this happens commonly among the general population.

Clients who benefit from reflexology treatment will notice an increase in energy, decreased pain by almost 40%, and will notice increased flexibility within 30-45 days.

There is a substantial portion of the population that you do not want to see this practice. People suffering from autoimmune disease, herpes, fibromyalgia, and AIDS may not benefit from this type of treatment.

Family practices are not always able to help a patient following a thyroid medication, in which case you may need to see a specialist in another area.
